Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Melissa Liao was born & raised in West Lafayette, Indiana. She spent her childhood in Taiwan & it was during that time she became fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Her father, who was a dermatologist in Taiwan, was her inspiration in joining the healthcare field. In 2016, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Liao’s passion is in helping people & she has participated in international missionary trips & provided dental care to the people of Haiti & Honduras. Her love for water sports & lifestyle for the ocean brought her to Hawaii where she fell in love with the Aloha spirit. She has practiced as a general dentist for the past 3 years in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. She feels at home in Hawaii & looks forward to joining Wai’alae Dental Care where she strives for excellent dental care for the community.
